Fringe - Is the series any good?
When my boyfriend told me that “Fringe” was the new series he was going to follow, I felt that I wanted to like it. All I had heard about it was that it was a series by the makers of “Lost”…
Watching the first episode I first felt very bemused by all the paranormal silliness, but I soon got drawn in which I at least partly blame on Joshua Jackson.
On Sunday I watched the third episode, and although I am still not completely enthralled, watching “Fringe” has become a Sunday ritual in my house. Showing at 9pm it is an ideal wrap-up to the weekend.
The comparison with x files is being drawn over and over again. I myself used to love the x files, but my interest in paranormal scary tales has dwindled and David Duchovny has just become the actor that is trying to detach himself from the stigma and do something good after x files – although Gillian Anderson is doing alright lately.
But Rituals are strong in me and so I know what I will be doing next Sunday at 9 pm. Episode 4 of “Fringe” is meant to be very good after 2 & 3 were disappointing according to some hardcore x files fans on the internet. We shall see.
