The story follows the character of Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp), a cheeky pirate, and Will Turner (Orlando Bloom), an ambitious blacksmith, on their search for Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley). Elizabeth, who is the governor's daughter, is in possession of a special golden medallion. She is kidnapped by the feared crew of the "Black Pearl". It later turnes out that the crew of the ship is cursed and that they are doomed for eternity to neither live, nor die. This curse can only be broken through the return of the golden medallion and the spilling of blood. Captain Jack Sparrow and Will Turner have made it their mission to persue "The Black Pearl", even though it turnes out that both characters are motivated by different goals.
